Dear students and families

We have had further updates from the Department for Education and the Government and

want to share the latest information with you.

We remain open for learning as usual and expect our Colleges to be ready to welcome you.

We are following guidance from the Department for Education very closely and will let you

know immediately if anything changes.

Please ensure you follow the latest advice and

 If you have a family member who has shown the symptoms of Covid-19 you should self-isolate for 14 days.

 All unnecessary social interactions and non-essential travel should be avoided

 Older people and those with underlying health conditions are also asked to stay at home for 12 weeks. The revised guidance is available here:

https://www.gov.uk/government/topical-events/coronavirus-covid-19-uk-governmentresponse

We are making some changes to our teaching to comply with the latest advice, namely:

 All parents’ evenings and progress reviews will be conducted by telephone

 All scheduled performances will take place without audiences in order that assessments can be carried out. They will be recorded for families to share wherever possible.

 In addition to cancelling all international trips, our residential and day trips will be rescheduled

 Where possible, we will continue with work experience and industry placements

It is very important that you do not come to College if you have:

· new continuous cough and/or

· high temperature

If you do, you should self-isolate for 14 days.

You should follow the stay at home guidance on Public Health England

website: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/covid-19-stay-at-home-guidance

When you come to College, please observe very standards of hygiene and wash your hands regularly and thoroughly. We are very short of sanitizer now as supplies have all been diverted to the NHS.

Please take good care of yourself and we wish everyone the very best of health in this challenging time.

With best wishes,

Peter Mayhew-Smith
